1. Public identity and scope

Public award records are available only by searching a brand, model, award number or certificate number. Before a query, no product list, brand wall, recommended products or default results are displayed. Each record corresponds to a real award decision and identifies the model, configuration, destination market, basis of award, validity period and current status. Independent research is neither a public product catalogue nor a count of awarded products.

2. Keep statistical populations separate

Use separate fields for research candidates, formal applications, distinct products, award events, renewals and currently valid records. Inclusion in third-party research is not an application or award and must not be converted into an awarded brand.

3. Definition of the award rate

For a stated period, divide award decisions by applications receiving a substantive award or non-award decision. Report pending, withdrawn, duplicate and procedurally closed cases separately. Group initial applications, renewals and extensions according to published definitions. Do not display a percentage when the denominator is zero.

4. Historical imports

Before publishing statistics from genuine older files, check provenance, rights, scope, dates, status and duplication. An empty online record does not prove that no history exists, but research material or estimated figures must never be used to fabricate it.

5. Valid

The record is within its stated period and has not been suspended or revoked. The mark may be used within the licence. Validity covers only the listed models, configurations and destination markets.

6. Expired

Where the validity period ends without a continuation decision, current validity must no longer be claimed. The history remains searchable. Ordinary expiry does not itself mean that the product is unsafe.

7. Suspended

A record or licence may be temporarily restricted while an issue is clarified. State reasons and scope according to the actual decision. A review request does not automatically restore validity.

8. Revocation, withdrawal and replacement

Revocation cancels an award on the facts and under the procedure; withdrawal is the holder’s voluntary termination; replacement is succession by a later valid record. Retain their respective reasons, dates and linked history rather than merging them into an unclear status.

9. Records, handling and corrections

Keep the application or case number, specific product and market, version applied, documents and page references, responsible personnel, material dates, reasons and formal notices relevant to this document. Handle personal data and trade secrets under access controls. Questions about a record may be raised through information correction, complaints or review by an entitled applicant. Submission alone does not change an existing decision or licence. The formal notice and current record govern the outcome.

10. Effective date, application and versions

Version 2.0 was published and took effect on 19 October 2026 and applies to relevant matters formally submitted after that date. Retain the original snapshot and rules for existing applications; notify substantive changes separately and apply transitional arrangements. Do not retrospectively add new conditions to historical decisions. Web and downloadable texts must agree. Identify superseded versions and record name or wording corrections separately from substantive amendments.
