Product Application Terms
GSQA-LEG-003
Application and applicant
These terms cover a specific formal product application, review, decision, publication and maintenance. The applicant and representative identify their roles, contact details and authority; an account user is not automatically the brand rights holder. Brand owners, manufacturers, importers and properly authorised organisations follow the same conditions. Account registration and acceptance for this application are separate records.
Product and target market
Identify product name, brand, exact models, configurations, use, series differences and actual images, together with countries or territories of sale and relevant subnational jurisdictions. Applications are worldwide; eight research groups and the other-market route create no country-based award tier. “Other” must become named jurisdictions. Brand origin, manufacture, sales market and document provenance are separate.
Rules and editions for the case
Before submission, the applicable rules, evidence and scope summary are available with the governing eligibility, review, timing, decision and maintenance documents. The case retains actual rule versions and its snapshot, separate from regulatory and standards editions. General descriptions waive no condition. GSQA-DOC-001 governs changes, retaining earlier facts rather than backdating them.
Award conditions and evidence
All applicable regulatory requirements must be met, with reliable, comparable evidence of performance beyond the relevant requirement on at least one core indicator directly related to intended use or quality and safety. There is one level, without voting, scoring, ranking or a universal margin. One strength cannot offset another mandatory failure. Brand, sales, price and other awards do not replace evidence.
Complete reports and qualifications
Provide complete original reports, annexes, amendments, retests and related adverse results, mapping them to models, configurations and markets. Review checks legal body, actual site, methods, work and qualification at testing time, with regulatory acceptance, designation or listing checked separately where required. Covers, stamps, uploads or general pass statements do not establish completion.
English and authentication
Non-English evidence includes complete English translation, original material, translation responsibility and version links. English originals need no duplicate translation. Notarisation, Apostille or the lawful applicable route follows provenance, legal nature and receiving relationship. Authentication addresses its source matters, not technical correctness, conformity, laboratory qualification or market access. Resolve discrepancies and route questions before decision.
Accuracy, disclosure and verification authority
Applicants are responsible for authenticity, completeness and authority and disclose relevant adverse results, limitations, recalls, penalties, corrective action and material changes. Necessary storage, examination and independent confirmation with actual bodies are permitted for the case. That authority does not allow unrelated disclosure, report resale or arbitrary marketing. Complete files remain access-controlled under confidentiality rules.
Formal submission and receipt
Before submission, an authorised representative checks the product, actual markets, reports, declarations, rights and documents and actively accepts these terms for the case. Drafts and uploads do not start an application. A unique formal receipt and snapshot identify date and scope. Failed or unsaved submission is not completion; retries retain actual links without inventing earlier acceptance.
Review, further information and timing
GSQA-PRG-003 and 008 apply. A specific request or outcome is normally issued within three to six months; six calendar months without substantive reply follows procedural-expiry rules. Replies to specific requests are normally due in twenty calendar days, with one reasoned extension requested before expiry, normally no more than twenty days. The next response after completeness is normally within three months. Receipts and general updates do not reset the clock.
Independent decision and outcomes
Itemised findings go to an authorised decision-maker independent of the case review and without unresolved relevant conflicts. Awards, unmet technical conditions, insufficient evidence, withdrawal, additional-information closure and procedural expiry are recorded separately. Formal notices state scope, rules, reasons and reconsideration. Declarations, progress and recommendations are not award decisions.
Charges and external services
Eligibility, applications, review, decisions, records, certificates, mark permission and the listed maintenance and feedback activities have no programme fee. Applicants arrange external testing, translation, authentication or agency independently. The programme appoints no partner laboratories and receives no commission. Funding, purchases, sponsorship, publicity and external payments cannot create award rights or alter conditions.
Disclosure and file-specific permission
The case requires necessary disclosure rights and substantive public material. Product images, identity and scope, report result pages or charts are confirmed separately, identifying file, version, pages, authorising party and use. Complete review originals and public copies remain separate; redaction must preserve the basis. Acceptance does not authorise publication of every report or replace third-party permission.
Record, certificate and permission
Records and certificates follow an actual award decision and fulfilled disclosure and permission conditions. Records are query-only, without default winner catalogues, brand walls or recommendations. GSQA-MRK-001/002 limits mark use to stated models, configurations, use, named markets and period. Worldwide access, another language or another awarded model does not enlarge the case.
Validity, renewal and changes
Validity is twelve calendar months. Renewal opens six months before expiry and pending work does not extend it automatically. Material changes to design, materials, components, software, production site, requirements or qualifications must be disclosed. Corrections, technical changes, models and markets follow separate routes. Continued use of evidence needs support, not unilateral assumptions to extend statements.
Status and subsequent use
Valid, expired, suspended, revoked, voluntarily ended and superseded records remain distinct with dates and necessary history. Ordinary expiry does not establish an unsafe product. Ended or restricted permission requires corresponding changes to statements and further use, while existing stock follows the decision and applicable law. Reconsideration, change and renewal do not automatically restore permission.
Withdrawal, rights concerns and retention
Application withdrawal, changed disclosure rights and personal-data deletion identify their particular matter through the appropriate route. Third-party copyright, confidentiality and authority concerns are examined, with relevant disclosure restricted where necessary and effects on records and permission assessed. Withdrawal does not erase actual submissions, decisions, disputes or necessary evidence; retention and deletion follow purpose and applicable duties.
Complaints, reconsideration and corrections
A party may seek free reconsideration under GSQA-REV-002 within thirty calendar days of receiving its decision, explaining lateness where applicable. Personnel independent of the original review and decision handle it within existing intake and response periods. Service, impartiality, errors and mark concerns use their corresponding feedback routes; personal rights use privacy requests.
Personal information and communication
Account, authority, report-related personal information and communications follow privacy and confidentiality rules and are limited to what the case needs. Disclosure permission, necessary verification and optional updates are distinct; refusal of marketing does not affect an application. Notices retain applicant-centre records and actual sending status. A receipt or notice message is not proof of email delivery.
Responsibility and other legal rights
Applicants, manufacturers, importers and sellers retain their product duties. An award does not replace market access requirements. The programme remains responsible under applicable law for actual review, decisions and services; no fee does not mean no responsibility. Non-award and internal procedures do not remove other available rights or require waiver of judicial or regulatory remedies.
Commencement, acceptance and later versions
This document applies where it is presented and accepted for the relevant submission. Formal submission links the accepted terms, language, digest or hash, time, actor, authority and case snapshot. Existing applications retain their actual acceptance and rules rather than being backfilled to this edition. Material changes follow version rules and applicable requirements; translation or page corrections do not erase the original submission.
