AU · EESS accepted AV/ICT safety route; AS/NZS 62368.1 where applicable
AV/ICT equipment and power supplies
Identify the market and product category first. Each dossier separates legal duties, referenced standards, evidence and the comparison needed for an award.
Product Scope
AV/ICT equipment and its power supplies where the EESS product definition and electrical ratings bring the equipment into scope.
Requirements
Match the whole product and its power supply to the class definition. Do not use an AV/ICT standard to substitute for an appliance power supply route where the class specification requires another standard.
Required Evidence
Provide the complete locally accepted safety report, component identities and certificate/registration where required; retain evidence for the exact AS/NZS edition rather than only its IEC counterpart.
Comparison for the Awards
Screen quality, speed or brand reputation cannot replace evidence against the applicable electrical requirements.
Version & Transition
EESS explicitly distinguishes the AS/NZS standard from a bare IEC reference; check the current class specification and transitions for the particular equipment.
Official Sources
Applicability depends on the product classification, intended use, configuration and actual sales territory. Manufacturing, placing-on-the-market and testing dates, together with transition provisions, are checked as required by each applicable rule. The directory identifies sources; it does not replace assessment of the specific model. Standards are identified by reference, and their authoritative texts remain with the issuing bodies. Official source documents retain their original language.
