Adhesives: VOC content and intended use
Identify the market and product category first. Each dossier separates legal duties, referenced standards, evidence and the comparison needed for an award.
Product Scope
Adhesives within the standard's formulation/use scope. Industrial intermediate use and expressly excluded formulations need a separate applicability determination.
Requirements
Determine adhesive category and the applicable VOC-content method and limit. A content limit is not the same as an indoor emission-chamber result; food-contact adhesive requirements are separate.
Required Evidence
Provide formulation/category evidence, full VOC report, sample preparation and calculation, packaging information and intended use.
Comparison for the Awards
Lower VOC must be compared within the same formulation category and method. A different adhesive category cannot be selected solely to obtain an easier baseline.
Version & Transition
The government publication provides GB 33372-2020. The exact category, exclusions and current amendments remain part of the model-specific review.
Official Sources
Applicability depends on the product classification, intended use, configuration and actual sales territory. Manufacturing, placing-on-the-market and testing dates, together with transition provisions, are checked as required by each applicable rule. The directory identifies sources; it does not replace assessment of the specific model. Standards are identified by reference, and their authoritative texts remain with the issuing bodies. Official source documents retain their original language.
