Identify the market and product category first. Each dossier separates legal duties, referenced standards, evidence and the comparison needed for an award.
Product Scope
Audio/video, information and communications technology equipment within the standard's scope, including applicable power supplies and electronic security equipment by function.
Requirements
Apply the hazard-based safety requirements to the actual whole product, power source and user/environment classification. The electronic-product CCC scope and EMC references must be determined separately.
Required Evidence
Retain complete safety reports, model/critical components, ratings, instructions and required CCC documents; check the designated institution's product and method scope.
Comparison for the Awards
A more powerful adapter or higher display specification does not establish a surplus over a safety requirement.
Version & Transition
Effective 1 August 2023, replacing GB 4943.1-2011 and GB 8898-2011. Current CCC rule amendments and component changes remain separate checks.
