Household appliances and tools: emissions requirements
Identify the market and product category first. Each dossier separates legal duties, referenced standards, evidence and the comparison needed for an award.
Product Scope
Household appliances, electric tools and similar apparatus within the standard's scope, including the specifically covered lighting and toy functions.
Requirements
Determine the equipment configuration, operating modes, power ports and applicable conducted/radiated disturbance methods. Emissions and immunity are different assessments.
Required Evidence
Provide full test setup, modes, frequencies, detector/bandwidth, results and limits, with the applicable certification-standard relationship.
Comparison for the Awards
A numerical margin is meaningful only against the correct emission limit under the same measurement conditions; do not compare unlike detectors or setups.
Version & Transition
GB 4343.1-2024 became effective on 1 June 2026 and replaced the 2018 edition; the official record identifies adoption of CISPR 14-1:2020.
Official Sources
Applicability depends on the product classification, intended use, configuration and actual sales territory. Manufacturing, placing-on-the-market and testing dates, together with transition provisions, are checked as required by each applicable rule. The directory identifies sources; it does not replace assessment of the specific model. Standards are identified by reference, and their authoritative texts remain with the issuing bodies. Official source documents retain their original language.
