Motorcycle and e-bike helmets: actual safety evidence
Identify the market and product category first. Each dossier separates legal duties, referenced standards, evidence and the comparison needed for an award.
Product Scope
Helmets for motorcycle and electric-bicycle users in the standard's classifications; do not extend this route to every sports helmet.
Requirements
Identify helmet type and use, then assess relevant retention, impact absorption, penetration and other applicable requirements with the correct headform/conditioning. Required CCC evidence must be genuine and model-matched.
Required Evidence
Provide full specialist test reports, size/headform range, materials, marking and current certificate scope.
Comparison for the Awards
A claimed standard number or a copied CCC symbol is not evidence. Impact results require the actual standard category and measurement conditions.
Version & Transition
SAMR's September 2026 enforcement account identifies GB 811-2022 and the critical helmet tests; use the applicable current implementation rule and certificate record.
Official Sources
Applicability depends on the product classification, intended use, configuration and actual sales territory. Manufacturing, placing-on-the-market and testing dates, together with transition provisions, are checked as required by each applicable rule. The directory identifies sources; it does not replace assessment of the specific model. Standards are identified by reference, and their authoritative texts remain with the issuing bodies. Official source documents retain their original language.
