Luminaires: current general standard and product-specific route
Identify the market and product category first. Each dossier separates legal duties, referenced standards, evidence and the comparison needed for an award.
Product Scope
Luminaires within the general standard, paired with the applicable luminaire-specific requirements; electrical accessories and light sources have their own categories.
Requirements
Identify luminaire type, mounting, supply, environment and safety classification. The current general document is a recommended GB/T standard; any legal or certification use must be shown through its applicable rule rather than inferred from its number.
Required Evidence
Provide the full general/particular reports, installation and ingress conditions, controlgear/components and applicable CCC evidence.
Comparison for the Awards
An electrical-safety result does not establish visual comfort or better luminous efficacy. Above-regulation claims need the relevant legal/technical relationship.
Version & Transition
GB/T 7000.1-2023 became effective on 1 January 2026 and replaced GB 7000.1-2015. Preserve the /T classification and verify the accepted certification edition.
Official Sources
Applicability depends on the product classification, intended use, configuration and actual sales territory. Manufacturing, placing-on-the-market and testing dates, together with transition provisions, are checked as required by each applicable rule. The directory identifies sources; it does not replace assessment of the specific model. Standards are identified by reference, and their authoritative texts remain with the issuing bodies. Official source documents retain their original language.
