Showers: water-efficiency floor and product performance
Identify the market and product category first. Each dossier separates legal duties, referenced standards, evidence and the comparison needed for an award.
Product Scope
Showers within the standard's definitions, with hand-held/fixed and functional configuration assessed separately.
Requirements
Use the applicable water-efficiency class and test conditions, including the performance conditions that prevent low flow from being mistaken for useful water saving. Product safety, materials and other sanitary requirements are separate.
Required Evidence
Provide full water-efficiency and functional test reports, pressure/configuration, declared class and applicable label/filing records.
Comparison for the Awards
A lower flow requires the same function and measurement conditions; the result must be compared with the limit for the actual shower type.
Version & Transition
The official Chinese record gives 1 January 2021 as the implementation date. Use the official record rather than secondary sites listing a different date.
Official Sources
Applicability depends on the product classification, intended use, configuration and actual sales territory. Manufacturing, placing-on-the-market and testing dates, together with transition provisions, are checked as required by each applicable rule. The directory identifies sources; it does not replace assessment of the specific model. Standards are identified by reference, and their authoritative texts remain with the issuing bodies. Official source documents retain their original language.
