Children's PSC products: toys, beds, bed guards and strollers
Identify the market and product category first. Each dossier separates legal duties, referenced standards, evidence and the comparison needed for an award.
Product Scope
Toys for children under three, infant beds, and the separately defined infant bed guards and strollers. Product and manufacturing/import dates determine the applicable transition.
Requirements
Apply the relevant technical criteria, age/use warnings, supplier obligations and appropriate child PSC marking. Infant beds are specially specified products and have a different conformity-assessment route from the other listed children's categories.
Required Evidence
Retain the complete product tests, intended age, dimensions and warnings, supplier notification, inspection records and required registered-body certificate.
Comparison for the Awards
A child PSC mark demonstrates required procedures; it is not proof of an advantage over the technical threshold.
Version & Transition
The under-three toy and infant-bed changes took effect on 25 December 2025. Bed guards and strollers were added from 8 July 2026. The infant-bed old-mark sales transition ends on 25 March 2027; verify actual stock dates.
Official Sources
Applicability depends on the product classification, intended use, configuration and actual sales territory. Manufacturing, placing-on-the-market and testing dates, together with transition provisions, are checked as required by each applicable rule. The directory identifies sources; it does not replace assessment of the specific model. Standards are identified by reference, and their authoritative texts remain with the issuing bodies. Official source documents retain their original language.
