Workplace protective equipment: hazard-specific KCs routes
Identify the market and product category first. Each dossier separates legal duties, referenced standards, evidence and the comparison needed for an award.
Product Scope
Designated workplace helmets, safety footwear, gloves, respiratory protection, clothing, harnesses, eye/face and hearing protection. The exact protection and product schedule determine the route.
Requirements
Select the actual hazard and protection class and verify whether certification or the relevant self-declaration route applies. Consumer fashion articles and medical devices must not be merged into this occupational programme.
Required Evidence
Provide model-specific protective tests, material/construction information, certificate or filing, marking and use/maintenance limitations.
Comparison for the Awards
A higher protection class is evidence only for its tested hazard. It cannot establish superiority across chemical, impact, respiratory or fall risks without the corresponding tests.
Version & Transition
Confirm the current Korean safety notice and product classification; historical English notice numbers are not a current-edition guarantee.
Official Sources
Applicability depends on the product classification, intended use, configuration and actual sales territory. Manufacturing, placing-on-the-market and testing dates, together with transition provisions, are checked as required by each applicable rule. The directory identifies sources; it does not replace assessment of the specific model. Standards are identified by reference, and their authoritative texts remain with the issuing bodies. Official source documents retain their original language.
