KR · Radio Waves Act Article 58-2; RRA conformity assessment rules
Radio and EMC conformity: RRA routes
Identify the market and product category first. Each dossier separates legal duties, referenced standards, evidence and the comparison needed for an award.
Product Scope
Broadcasting and communications equipment within the RRA schedules, including relevant radio and EMC equipment.
Requirements
Determine conformity certification, conformity registration or interim certification from the product schedule. Match radio band, antenna, power and EMC function to the applicable technical criteria. Electrical safety KC and RRA conformity are separate obligations even when marking uses the KC family.
Required Evidence
Provide required RF/EMC reports, technical drawings, instructions and representative authorisation, plus the official conformity record. The accepted laboratory route depends on the procedure and applicable MRA designation.
Comparison for the Awards
A registration number is not evidence that a product outperforms a technical requirement; measurable comparisons must use the relevant frequency and setup.
Version & Transition
Use current RRA schedules and designated/MRA scopes. Historical English descriptions are explanatory and do not replace a current category determination.
Official Sources
Applicability depends on the product classification, intended use, configuration and actual sales territory. Manufacturing, placing-on-the-market and testing dates, together with transition provisions, are checked as required by each applicable rule. The directory identifies sources; it does not replace assessment of the specific model. Standards are identified by reference, and their authoritative texts remain with the issuing bodies. Official source documents retain their original language.
